And the high priest answered and said unto him:
High Priest
I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
Evangelist
Jesus saith unto him:
Jesus
Thou hast said. Nevertheless I say unto you: Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Evangelist
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying:
High Priest
He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye?

They answered and said:

He is guilty of death!

Ich beschwöre dich bei dem lebendigen Gott, dass du uns sagest, ob du seiest Christus, der Sohn Gottes?
High Priest

Jesus sprach zu ihm:

Jesus saith unto him:

Du sagest es. Doch sage ich euch: Von nun an wird's geschehen, dass ihr sehen werdet des Menschen Sohn sitzen zur Rechten der Kraft und kommen in den Wolken des Himmels.

Da zerriss der Hohepriester seine Kleider und sprach:

Er hat Gott gelästert, was dürfen wir weiter Zeugnis? Siehe, jetzt habt ihr seine Gotteslästerung gehöret. Was dünket euch?
High Priest

Sie antworteten und sprachen:

Er ist des Todes schuldig!

Modern adaptation
The High Priest asks under oath: 'Are you the Christ?' Jesus answers: 'You say so. And you will see me at God's side.' The Priest tears his robes and cries: 'Blasphemy!' The Council shouts: 'He deserves death!'
